Aquatics Center Baku, Azerbaijan

In June 2015 the first European Games ever took place. This big event was held in the capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku. Almost 6000 athletes participate in the first European Games in about thirty sports in different disciplines. Of course swimming is not missing on this event. Variopool supplied and installed a movable pool floor in this impressive Aquatics Center Baku. The European Games is the biggest event that Azerbaijan had ever organized.

Variopool was present on this event to support the sporters. The Dutch Marrit Steenbergen won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 freestyle. A really great result of Marrit in the Aquatics Center Baku!
