Time registration and graphics during the EQM 2024

From April 11th to April 14th, 2024, the Eindhoven Qualification Meet took place in the fully adorned Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium. In short, the EQM. Our technical colleagues from Varioplay Timekeeper were there to meticulously manage everything regarding timekeeping and graphics on the screens. Even the footage seen on television in the evenings was executed by our Sport In The Box system. What a task and what a great performance by our colleagues! The entire setup and ambiance significantly contribute to the overall experience of this event. And when the atmosphere is good, the performances also improve!

The EQM is the annual elite sports event in the heart of Brabant and Dutch swimming, Eindhoven. It’s a great opportunity for swimmers to qualify for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris at this World Aquatics and World Para Swimming-approved competition. The entire Dutch elite and many foreign swimmers will compete in Eindhoven.

Sport In The Box

During the EQM event, our colleagues utilized Swiss Timing for timekeeping, as well as Sport In The Box. Sport In The Box is an advanced production and playout system for sports events, allowing users to create engaging live content and broadcast it on video boards, in-house TV systems, and via streaming. The system supports playback of stored images, live video inputs, replays, graphics, full-screen scoreboards, and TV overlays. Varioplay has previously provided support for a major event with this system.
