New swimming centre equipped with movable floor and bulkhead

The new De Welle swimming centre in Drachten has recently opened, a modern swimming facility that also serves as the home base for the KNZB training centre. Variopool was present at the opening ceremony and made an important contribution to this project: The pool is equipped with a movable floor and a submersible bulkhead, allowing the pool to be flexibly adapted to different users and activities.

Maximum use of the competition pool

The duo-movable floor allows precise adjustment of the water depth, making the 50-metre pool suitable for various activities, from competitive swimming to recreational use. In addition, the 25×2 metre submersible bulkhead allows the pool to be easily divided into two sections. This allows several groups to use the pool at the same time, while maintaining the available swimming space.
